About Library

The Institute Library was established in 1963 in the Institute's main building of Institute comprising one Stock room, two Reading halls, a Reference Section, a Periodical Section, a Technical Section, a Circulation Counter, an Internet Browsing room, a Reprography room, etc. Since It is located at the main building of the institute it is easily accessible to all users. The Library functions from 9 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. on all working days and it also opens on Saturdays and Sundays from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The library is fully automated using KOHA- open source ILMS (Integrated Library Management System). The Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is provided for easy searching, access, and retrieval of library documents. In-house publications of the Institute are being digitalized and uploaded in the Institutional Repository using Dspace for online and easy access for the users. The Library is equipped with JAWS Talking Screen Reader, Zoom Text Screen Magnifier, and Clear Reader + Basic Text Reading machine to support the visually impaired users of the library.
